 FS98 LOCKHEED L-749 Constellation 9/98
 Ace Freighters G-ALAL
 *****************************************

This plane is complete with landing lights, checklists, and built-in
cowl flap drag.

If you would like to have another L-049/649/749 fly like this one, just
copy the TWAL749.AIR file in this archive over the top of another
Connie's AIR file, giving it the plane's AIR file name.

Original plane and paint by Dave McQueen.

Flight Model by Tom Gibson

Repainted from a TWA L749 by Gerry McLaughlin.

I would like to thank Shoichiro Homma, Rich Boehringer, and
Mike Vidal for their contributions to this project.

THIS PLANE COMES WITH A DEFAULT CESSNA PANEL. Thats only to save space in
the file. It was originally designed to use Tom Gibson's Connie V6 panel,
available from Tom's great Classic Airliner site. If you wish to use a different
panel, edit the plane's panel.cfg file in Notepad to reflect
the path to your desired panel.
You should also get new sound. You can get this at Tom's site as well.

It is also a lot of fun to use his FS98 Propliner adventure, maximizing
the realism of the flight. Get it at the Classic Airliner Page too.

To access the checklists while flying (even in full screen & 3D), press
Shift-C. You will step through the checklists, which are Before Starting
Engines, Starting Engines, Engine Run-up, Before Takeoff,
Takeoff Data (V speeds), Climb, Cruise, Before Landing, and After
Landing. The best spot to stash the checklist is in the upper left
corner, except on landing. Then put it on the right edge of the panel.
Enjoy! Thanks to John Anderson for the checkedit program, which makes
editing checklists easy (available as chke11.zip from
www.flightsim.com).

If you would like to add the checklists to other FS98 Connies, copy
the chk0.cfg file from this archive into the main folder of another
FS98 L-049/649/749. Then change that plane's aircraft.cfg file in
Notepad so that the line "checklists=" is changed to "checklists=chk0"
(without the quotes).

Installation:

DO NOT USE THE CONVERTER ON THIS PLANE; IT IS ALREADY IN FS98 FORMAT

Simply unzip to a temporary folder using Winzip or a similar tool which keeps stored folders intact. You should find a folder called Ace Freighters L749.
Slide that straight into your 'aircraft' folder in FS98 and your ready to fly.
After a trial flight, if you like the plane, get those new sounds and panel!
